'Never stop wondering', never stop being surprised: that slogan hangs in the renewed Winter Circus that officially opens this week. The attitude about this new place? Stay curious about what you've never seen before, like when you go to the circus.

Because until before the Second World War, this was the place in Ghent to see circus artists at work. That spectacle is now coming back in a contemporary guise. For example, there will be a play written by artificial intelligence, there will be a concert where robots will respond to live cello music with light and movement, and installation artist Dries Depoorter is working on a surprising project.

In addition, you will also be able to exercise in the Winter Circus Arena, including spinning or yoga.
